I had this fabric in my stash, meaning to make some piece of clothing out of it, and once I evaluated my style and realized that I really need to be wearing more skirts, I thought a simple every day casual skirt would be perfect.
I didn’t use a pattern, I just cut a piece of fabric about twice the length of my waist and then as wide as I wanted the skirt to be long, leaving room for hems. I sewed up both sides, hemmed the top, and then sewed four pieces of elastic to the inside of the waist, about 1/2″ apart. Adjust the length as necessary, and hem.
I originally thought I’d make this skirt quite full, but I HATED how it looked on me. It just swallowed my curves and hid the shape I’ve learned to love. So I ended up cutting the sides way in, especially at the waist, making it more of an A-line. Much better.

certainly like your web site however you have to take a look at the spelling on several of your posts.
Many of them are rife with spelling problems and I find
it very bothersome to tell the truth then again I’ll certainly come again again.
